Wives and partners of the Defence Forces speak out on behalf of their partners who are unable to protest

They're calling for better pay and conditions for Defence Forces members

A group protesting for better pay and conditions in the Defence Forces say they have a number of issues to raise with Minister Paul Kehoe including the administration of an anti-malarial drug linked with depression, anxiety and hallucinations.

The Wives & Partners of the Defence Forces, who are speaking out on behalf of their partners, have requested a meeting with the Minister of State with Special Responsibility for Defence to highlight some of the difficulties the force are facing.

The group recently held protests on behalf of their partners outside barracks across the country including Collins Barracks here in Cork and Haulbowline Naval Base.

Lorriane O'Hare from Cork has been protesting with the group on behalf of her husband and speaking to RedFM News she says it's time for the government to listen
