Woman arrested over death of four-month-old baby boy

A woman has been arrested after the death of a fourth-month-old baby boy in Mayo.

Detectives say the infant was involved in an 'incident' at a house in Bohola at the end of December.

He was taken by ambulance to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem has been carried out by the State Pathologist but the results aren't being released for operational reasons.

The woman arrested is in her 20s and is being questioned at Claremorris Garda station.
