Woman rescued after falling ill on an angling boat off the West Cork coast this afternoon

Castletownbere RNLI were launched launched the operation near the Dursey Sound along with Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 115
The woman on board who had taken ill was 'unresponsive'. A first aid assessment was undertaken and the woman became responsive after receiving oxygen.
The woman was then transferred to the lifeboat. The helicopter winchman was lowered to the deck of the lifeboat and the casualty was airlifted to the helicopter at and was then taken to Kerry General Hospital.
