Women Have Been Waiting Months For Callback From Cervical Check Helpline

Women's Lives Matter says some women have been waiting months for a callback from the Cervical Check Helpline
The campaign group were speaking after they were contacted by a former Cervical Check helpline employee who claims everything possible was done to prevent women getting access to their smear test results.
The former employee who wishes to remain anonymous also claims there was a complete lack of urgency in dealing with women affected by the scandal.
Four helpline centres including one in Cork were set up by the HSE last year
In statement issued to RedFM News the HSE acknowledged that while it took some time to reply to all calls, a substantial amount of work was undertaken to ensure all callers were responded to individually.
Speaking to RedFM News, Nikola Barrett from Women's Lives Matter says the service needs to be urgently improved
