Work to begin on Events Centre in the next 10 days

The Housing Minister has confirmed to RedFM News that demolition work is to begin on the site of the planned Events Centre within the next ten days. 

A meeting was held between all stakeholders in City Hall two weeks ago where Cork's Simon Coveney pushed for progress on the planned €50 million facility.

It's after concerns were expressed that no work had taken place on the project following a sod-turning event by the Taoiseach last February.

Speaking to RedFM News Minister Coveney says significant progress has been made on the development and people will see this in next 10 days:
