"You never get over the empty chair at the table"

That's according to Road Safety Campaigner Christina Donnelly who's son Brendan was killed by a drunk driver near Castlemartyr in 2009

It comes as the Transport Minister today is to meet with a number of road safety groups this morning to discuss his new Road Traffic Bill.

It would see people lose their licences if they're caught driving after drinking less than a pint.

Four junior ministers are believed to be against the bill with Fianna FAil also saying they'll oppose it as some have argued that it's too harsh particularly on those living in rural Ireland.

However, Speaking to RedFM News Road Safety Campaigner Christina Donnelly says the shock of loosing her son to a drunk driver has left a huge gap in her life.
