Youghal Clock Gate Tower opens for business as renovations come to an end

Visitors can participate in interactive tours telling the story of the building over the past 600 years
The revamped Clock Tower in Youghal is expected to become a premium tourist attraction in East Cork.
That's according to the Cork County Council and SECAD who have developed the project on a phased basis since 2008.
The Tower was opened to the public for the first time in over 20 years this week, and it expected to generate over €1.4 million euro in tourist revenue every year.
Interactive tours will tell the story of the building over the past 600 years, and has been branded as part of Ireland's Ancient East.
Speaking to RedFM News project manager Aileen Murray says it will take it's place as one of Cork's premier visitor attractions.
