Youghal Food and Mackerel Festival cancelled due to procedural changes

Youghal has been forced to cancel one of it's biggest festivals in the middle of the busy tourist season.
Local community group Youghal for all have cancelled the annual Food and Mackerel Festival due to changes to procedures for road closures.
The local council previously handled the road closures, but these applications must now go through Cork County Council.
The group say they did not receive notification about the change in time, and have had to make the decision to cancel the event.
Speaking to RedFM News PRO of Youghal for All Adrian Hyde says the cancellation of the festival is a body blow for the seaside town whose businesses rely heavily on the tourist industry:
