Youghal traders determined to stay positive despite EPA findings

The town's Front Strand beach failed an EPA water quality test for the second year running
Traders in Youghal remain optimistic for the future of the town despite the Front Strand beach failing an EPA water quality test for the second year running.
Business owners say they are determined to fight back despite the poor results of the water quality test and say they're hopeful that the town's new water treatment plant, which is currently under construction, will help boost Summer trade in the future...
Last year Cork County Council erected signs warning people against bathing on Youghal’s Front Strand, because the water quality was deemed poor, however locals say the poor weather last Summer made it difficult to guage how the water quality of the beach impacted on business
Speaking to RedFM News, these traders admit that the results of the water quality test is a blow, but they were anxious to accentuate the positives the East Cork town has to offer
