Youghal's Eco-Boardwalk re-opens

It was damaged by storms last winter.

Youghal's Eco-Boardwalk has officially been re-opened to the public.

The boardwalk was badly damaged in last winter's storms and funding of over 200,000 euro was allocated by the Environment Department to repair it.

'The Raleigh Quarter' was also opened in the historic area of the town  which is seen as key to Fáilte Ireland's recent 'Ireland's Ancient East' initiative and incorporates the medieval town walls and gardens.

The Youghal Clockgate Tower Building is set to open to the public next year as a visitor attraction and it's expected to generate an extra 1.2 million euro annually once opened.
