Young Scientists Gather in Dublin

The BT Young Scientist Competition kicks off today at Dublin's RDS and will run for the next three days. The number of entries received for the competition has broken all previous records with 1,879 ideas entered from over 4,000 students across the country A total of 90 schools in Cork are competing with the highest amount of entries received by Colaiste Choilm in Ballincollig which have entered 17 projects Kinsale Community School has registered 16 projects for the event involving nearly 40 students. The school has won the overall competiton twice and last year won the overall school prize.
