YouTube Says Closing Off Comments On Videos Of Minors Is Critical For Keeping Young People Safe Online
Comments on tens of millions of videos have been disabled in the last week
The online platform said the comments "could be at risk of attracting predatory behaviour".
YouTube has taken the action after the discovery of a "soft-core paedophile ring" operating in the platform's comment sections.
Tech journalist Andy O’Donoghue says this should serve as a warning to parents who allow their children to go online.
