"A puppy is for life, not for lockdown"

That's the message from animal welfare groups after a spike in demand for puppies and dogs has emerged in the midst of the restrictions imposed to curb the spread of COVID19.

It's feared these 'lockdown puppies' will end up in rescue shelters or on their own once restrictions have been lifted.
