Almost 421,000 people are receiving PUP this week

Almost 421,000 people are receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment this week.

The Department of Social Protection says the numbers in receipt of the PUP have fallen by 600 since last week.

More than 90,000 people have received an arrears payment which amounts to over 49 million euro.

Over the past seven days, almost 19,000 people closed their PUP claim.
