Covid-19 Evening Update

Here's a reminder of today's Covid headlines

• The five kilometre travel limit has been lifted, with people free to travel within their county or 20 kilometres from their home.

  It's one of the Level 5 restrictions being eased, as well as two households being allowed to meet outside - but not in private gardens.

• Health experts are meeting today to consider whether to restrict the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine. 

  The National Immunisation Advisory Committee is examining whether to recommend its use for older people only.

• 12,475 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered on Saturday.

  Figures from the HSE show 9,366 were first doses, while the remaining 3,100 were used to fully vaccinate people.

• No New Deaths, 394 New Cases - 8 here in Cork
