• 437 new cases of Covid 19 have been reported this evening and one additional death. The median age was 29, while 76% of cases were under the age of 45.
• The government is awaiting a decision as early as this evening on the use of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. It comes as Ministers prepare to make decisions on the re-opening of the country over the next few months. 

• Hundreds of Irish medical supplies are being shipped to India as it struggles to cope with a growing Covid-19 crisis. 700 oxygen concentrators are being made available as part of an emergency donation by EU states.

• 3.4 per cent of the 42,900 people who have been tested at covid-19 walk-in testing centres have tested positive for the virus. It means 1,416 people who did not have symptoms of the virus were actually infected at the time of their test.
