The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 294 additional cases

39 people are in hospital because of the disease, of which 13 are in ICU.

The Taoiseach is urging people to remain vigilant as the number of cases of the Delta variant rise.

The strain, first detected in India, accounted for 20% of new covid cases last week.
