Covid-19 Restrictions Set To Ease From Midnight Tonight

Some Covid-19 restrictions are set to ease from midnight tonight.
People will be allowed travel anywhere within their county, two households can meet up with each other outdoors, and all students return to school tomorrow.
It comes as 455 new cases of the virus have been confirmed, along with 14 further deaths - three of which occurred this month
Public health expert Professor Anthony Staines says as Level 5 restrictions ease, the virus needs to be monitored regionally:
"We have to really properly activate, public health, it means at least 14 days, contact tracing it means more thorough source investigation, and it means an approach to virus control which is run, regionally, run by reasonable public health, and not run by central call centres, central call centres can be really helpful. And they're very useful part of the picture, but it's being run in the wrong direction."
