The latest headlines on COVID19

  • The government has said it's still committed to the target of all adults having a first vaccine by June.

    It comes after news that Ireland will get 545,000 extra doses this quarter from Pfizer. 

  • NPHET says the Covid-19 situation in Ireland is stable, or potentially improving, but there's still significant uncertainty.

  • The Government is considering exempting fully vaccinated people from hotel quarantine.

    It was discussed at Cabinet today and is said to be supported by a number of Ministers. 

  • There has been a further 431 Covid-19 cases (17 here in Cork) and 12 deaths.
