EU urges all member states to have 70% of population vaccinated by summer
The EU is urging every country to have 70% of its population vaccinated against Covid-19 by the summer.
The new targets also involve 80% of over 80s and 80% of healthcare workers being protected by March.
European Commission Vice-President, Margaritis Schinas, says all member states will need to speed up the rollout, "We now make a steady and fast pace for vaccinations and vaccinations, is not a race between countries, but a race against time."
