Gardaí Will Be Out In Force This Weekend To Identify Breaches Of Covid-19 Guidelines.

It comes ahead of the relaxing of restrictions next Monday.

The 5km limit will lift on 12th April meaning people can travel within their county for both exercise and recreational purposes.

Also, all school children will be back in the classroom from next Monday.

13,972 fines have been issued for non-essential travel, since their introduction.

2,666 fines of 150-euro have been handed out for attending a house party, while 675 people have been fined 500-euro for organising a party. 

Gardaí say they continue to fine groups of people gathering, including up to 100 people at a party last weekend.
