Italy's death toll passes 2,500

Italy's death toll has surged past 2,500 with Spain, France and the UK following behind.

All 50 American states have now confirmed cases of Covid-19 - after Virginia declared its first one.

The disease has killed more than 100 people across the US. 

Over 7 thousand people have died globally from the disease.

Dubliner John Murphy, who's living in Italy, said Italians - now on total lockdown - are happy to abide by the strict rules:
