New Precautionary Measures Introduced At Cork University Maternity Hospital

The new measures relate to visitor restrictions at the hospital and take immediate effect

Women admitted for induction of labour or in labour can have one nominated visitor, for all other inpatients, including Antenatal and Postnatal inpatients no visitors will be allowed 

For patients in the newborn intensive care unit only one parent only is allowed attend 

For outpatients, only the women attending the appointment will be allowed - - No partners, children or companions

This is in the interest of patient care and in order to prevent the spread of infections within the hospital. The situation will be reviewed on a daily basis.
