UK death toll passes 27,500

The British Government claims it's hit its coronavirus testing target.

UK Health secretary Matt Hancock says more than 120,000 people were checked yesterday - on the day he'd aimed to test 100,000.

But the way the figures are compiled has changed in recent days - to include tests sent out in the post.

Another 739 people have died in the UK after being diagnosed with Covid-19.

It takes Britain's total to just over 27,500
