Cork business owners says traders need to see their businesses being reopened sooner rather than later

Joan Lucey says her business has been online for over five years but in the past 12 months she has seen a surge in online demand for her products

The owner of Vibes and Scribes in Cork city says she still needs her doors to reopen despite the success of online trading for her business during the pandemic.

However she says traders need to see their businesses being reopened sooner rather than later so they can start trading normally again and get their staff back to full time work.

Speaking to RedFM News Joan Lucey says despite the success of her online trading her main business is dealing with customers face to face.
"We will keep the online shop because to be honest in the year we have got a lot better at it. I mean our main business is connecting with our customers and is looking after our customers and both the book business, and the crafting supply business is bit of an escapism for a customer if you noticed a bit of pleasure in buying this, and I mean we want to be there for our customers they've been there for us for the last 25 years. We want to continue to be there for them on the high street."
