Cork's Adam Idah is in line to make his senior international debut this week.
The Republic of Ireland play Bulgaria in the Nations League on Thursday, with reports suggesting that the Norwich City striker could be set to start.
Stephen Kenny will put his squad through their paces today, with Cork's Caoimhín Kelleher linking up with the squad, the Liverpool goalkeeper replacing the injured Kieran O'Hara.
Idah meanwhile says he'll be ready if the Ireland boss puts him in on Thursday.
"I'm just looking forward to this experience and if I get some game time that will be a bonus," said the former College Corinthians man on a press call yesterday.
"If that is the case [that I start] I'll be ready to go, but like I said I'm looking forward to this experience and playing with the boys."
Idah says he enjoyed working with Kenny in the under 21s, and is looking forward to doing it now at senior level.
"For me I'm just going to play the way I always do, obviously with Stephen at the Under 21s gave us that confidence to just play and be ourselves, and give us that bit of freedom to play.
"I just have to come in here and be confident, train with the boys this week and train well, obviously I know a couple of the boys, and I'm just looking forward to tit to be honest.
"We've worked a lot in training, Stephen said we'll work together as a team and he said he's trying to bring a new era to this Irish team."
