Ronan McCarthy has been confirmed as the new Senior Football Coach on a three year term.
The Douglas man takes the position vacated by Peadar Healy following the Cork Senior's Championship exit to Mayo in July.
The former Cork Minor and Senior footballer served as a selector under Conor Counihan in 2013 before working with Brian Cuthbert in 2014 and 2015.
The Glanmire Community College Principal led Carbery Rangers to win their first ever County Senior Football Championship last year.
McCarthy will appoint his management team in the coming days.
We've spoke to Cork Chairman Ger Lane about McCarthy's appointment, his experience, and his title of "Coach" rather than Manager.
