The Cork City Under 19's suffered a bitterly disappointing 3-1 defeat to AS Roma in their UEFA Youth League 2nd Round 1st leg at Turners Cross on Wednesday night.

The hosts held the Italians until they went ahead in the 86th, while substitute Filippo Franchi added their third as the contest entered additional time.
