Cork's Lucca Allen picks up first pole position of F4 Career

The East Cork native was quickest at Chang International Circuit in Bangkok
ALLEN TAKES POLE FOR RACE 1
BURIRAM (10 May) – Lucca Allen claimed pole position for today’s Race 1 after coming out tops in a tight qualifying session of Event 3 of the FIA Formula 4 SEA Championship – fueled by Petron – at the Buriram Circuit here today.
The Irish driver, current leader in the Championship standings, posted the fastest time of 1 minute 43.894s over 11 laps, with a close 0.115s ahead of rookie driver Elias Sepannen of Finland.
Allen was clearly in his element, bettering his fifth fastest time of 1 min 44.866s over 10 laps in the practice session held earlier. Seppanen, currently third in the standings, joins Allen on the front grid after coming in a close second with the best time of 1:44.009s.
Australian Josh Smith, who had also a good run in the earlier free practice with 1:44.134s, will start from P3 after posting 1:44.247S.
Malaysian Muizz Musyaffa, kept his composure to finish fourth in 1:44.281s while Oman’s Shihab Al-Habshi, who earlier had a promising drive, came in firth with 1:44.298s.
Race 1 starts at 5.10pm local time.
