Following Cork's eight point victory over Wexford this evening, all eyes are now on Mondays draw for round two, which will be played next Saturday July 11th.
Firstly, the full time scores from tonight's three games;
Cork 2-22
Wexford 0-20
Clare 3-26
Offaly 0-15
Dublin 4-17
Laois 0-19
These results see Cork, Clare and Dublin enter the pot for the round 2 draw, with the winner of tomorrow's clash between Limerick and Westmeath joining them.
The draw is subject to the avoidance of repeat pairings, where feasible (Limerick v Clare now being the only possibility should Limerick win on Sunday).
So, Cork could meet Clare, Dublin (in unlikely event Westmeath beat Limerick) or Limerick/Westmeath.
Notes relevant to draws:
NOTE1: If the 1st team drawn cannot play the 2nd team drawn (due to having met previously in the provincial championship), the third team drawn will be AWAY to the 1st team drawn; the 4th team drawn will be AWAY to the 2nd team drawn.
NOTE2: If having drawn the 1st and 2nd teams, the remaining teams in the draw are two teams that cannot meet, the 3rd team drawn will then be AWAY to the 1st drawn, and the 4th team drawn will be AWAY to the 2nd team drawn initially.
Confirmation of home venues, times and all dates for the fixtures will be confirmed following a meeting of C.C.C.C on Monday afternoon.
