FIFA to draft new legislation

FIFA are to draft emergency regulations to keep players at their current clubs even when their contracts expire on June 30th.
Manchester City’s David Silva, Chelsea pair Olivier Giroud and Willian and Adam Lallana at Liverpool are among those out of contract this summer.
But with football suspended due to the coronavirus, league seasons are set to continue well into the summer.
FIFA will describe the pandemic as a “force majeure” - an unforeseen scenario which doesn’t allow contracts to be fulfilled.
