Ireland Fall In FIFA Rankings

ireland have fallen 6 places in the latest FIFA world rankings. The Boys in Green are now down to 42nd. Giovanni Trappatoni's side have picked up just two competitive wins this year, the 2-1 win over Kazakhstan and the 4-1 win over the Faroe Islands, in what's been a massively disappointing year for Ireland, underlined by the 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Germany which followed a painfully dismal European Championships campaign. Spain meanwhile remain top with Germany and Argentina in second and third. England are 6th, with Northern Ireland up to 96th.
