Ireland Fall in FIFA World Rankings

The Republic of Ireland have dropped two places in the latest FIFA world rankings, despite winning twice in September. The boys in green drop from 26th to 28th, despite wins over Kazakhstan and Oman. Spain remain top, while Germany who play Ireland in the Aviva on Friday week are second. England drop two to fifth, Scotland fall 9 to 56th, Wales drop 12 to 57 and Northern Ireland are up 12 to 117th.
