Liverpool suffer rare defeat as they go down to Atletico
Liverpool lost in the Champions League for the first time since September as they went down 1-0 to Atletico Madrid in their last 16 first leg tie last night.
Saul Niguez's goal after just four minutes was enough for the Spanish side to see off the holders at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
There was further misery for the Reds with captain Jordan Henderson picking up a hamstring injury - he'll be assessed later in the week.
The return leg is set for Anfield on March 11th.
Jurgen Klopp cut a frustrated figure when interviewed by BT Sport afterwards.
"They only wanted this result, 0-0 would have been OK for them."
