Interviews with the UFC's newest superstar, and the Cage Warriors Owner
A few days ago I got the the chance to sit down with two of Mixed Martial Arts' biggest names. "Irish" Joe Duffy is on the verge of super-stardom following his two excellent wins in the UFC, and his upcoming headline bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC Dublin. Corkman Graham Boylan meanwhile, who also manages Duffy, is getting back to work with Cage Warriors, having recently taken over the brand. Boylan had previously worked as its CEO for many years, and is targeting an early 2016 return for the promotion.
I'd interviewed Duffy a couple of times before over the phone, so it was good to finally meet him in person. And a nicer guy you couldn't ask to meet. We had a good chat about his win over Ivan Jorge at UFC Glasgow, what the future holds, adjusting to his increased profile and how he's going to beat Dustin Poirier.
I spoke to Boylan about Duffy's phenomenal rise in the past few months, whether or not he's destined to face Conor McGregor again (they're like yin and yang, he says), getting Cage Warriors back up and running and more.
