PREVIEW: Six Cork Rowers Contest European Championships this Weekend
Six Cork Rowers represent Ireland at the European Rowing Championships in the Czech Republic this weekend.
Teams from 34 nations have entered, and the Irish Team remains the same as the World Cup in Belgrade just three weeks ago, where the Irish won two medals with Mark O'Donovan & Shane O'Driscoll claiming Gold and Denise Walsh returning with Silver.
The Team consists of:
Lightweight Men's Double Sculls: Gary O'Donovan (Skibbereen RC) & Paul O'Donovan (UCDBC)
Lightweight Men's Pair: Mark O'Donovan (Skibbereen RC) & Shane O'Driscoll (Skibbereen RC)
Women's Single Sculls: Sanita Puspure (Old Collegians BC)
Lightweight Women's Single: Denise Walsh (Skibbereen RC)
