REACTION: Cork Minor Manager Denis Ring after Defeat to Limerick
Minor Manager bemoans criminal wides after three point defeat in Munster Semi Final.
The Cork Minor Hurlers saw their Championship come to an end with a disappointing three point defeat to defending champions Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds.
The game was finely poised at half time, with the sides level at seven points a piece. The hosts went ahead for the first time after forty minutes, before Cork again pulled two clear thanks to top scorer for the Rebels Blarneys Mark Coleman.
The killer blow came in the 57th minute, when Limerick corner forward Peter Casey goaled to put them two ahead.
However, the Leesiders had their chances over the 60 minutes, clocking up fifteen wides to Limericks four, a statistic Manager Denis Ring bemoaned after the game.
