Great scenes in Ohio
Shane Lowry has won his first ever PGA event.
The Offaly native carded a bogey free final round of 66 to finish on 11 under at the Bridgestone invitational in Ohio last night, finishing two shots clear of Bubba Watson.
Graeme Mc Dowell ended tied for 17th on 1 under while Padraig Harrinton was 14 over.
The win sees the 28 year old pick up a cheque for a cool $1.57m, and sees him qualify for the Masters and next week's Players Championship.
The win sees Lowry break into the top 20 of the world rankings, up to 19th from 48th.
