Niamh McCarthy has claimed another medal for Ireland at the Paralympic Games in Rio.
The Carrigaline woman won Silver in the F41 Discuss Final last night, following up on the earlier success of Orla Barry from Ladysbridge who also claimed Silver in her discuss event.
Some more of Ireland's medal winners will be hoping for further success on Day 9.
Eoghan Clifford, who has already won gold and bronze, cycles in the H1-3 Road Race at 1.30pm. Also taking part in that one is Colin Lynch who has a silver medal to his name.
At 1.50, bronze medalist Ellen Keane swims in the heats of the 100 metre backstroke. Just after 5pm the sonar sailors of Cork's John Twomey, Ian Costelloe and Austin O'Carroll sail in Race 10 before the medal race on Saturday.
Dundalk wrote another memorable chapter in the history of Irish football last night.
Ciaran Kilduff's headed goal two-minutes from time salvaged a 1-all draw for the Lilywhites at A-Z Alkmaar, to secure a first ever group stage point for an Irish side in Europe. The result is all the more remarkable given that they did it with ten men after Stephen O'Donnell was dismissed 19-minutes from time.
The point also secures 120-thousand euro, 20-thousand euro more than Dundalk got for winning the Airtricity Premier Division.
The other game in Group D was a thriller, with Zenit St Petersburg winning 4-3 at Macabbi Tel Aviv.
Manchester United didn't have such a profitable night in the Netherlands.
Jose Mourinho's side lost their opening Group A game 1-0 to Feyenoord in Rotterdam.
Southampton are off to a flier in Group K, with Charlie Austin's brace helping them to a 3-nil win at home to Sparta Prague.
They'll have also been buoyed by favourites Inter's shock 2-nil loss at home to Hapoel Beer Sheva.
Cork City can cut the gap on Dundalk to seven points in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division tonight.
They welcome Shamrock Rovers to Turners Cross tonight, a side against whom they fired 5 unanswered goals in the Cup last week.
Elsewhere, third placed Derry travel to Wexford
There's a basement battle at Finn Park, where Harps are at home to bottom side Longford and Bohs seek a first win in Galway since 2011, when the sides meet tonight at Eamon Deasy Park.
In the first division, Cobh Ramblers are away to UCD from 7:45
In the Premier League, Chelsea meet Liverpool with kick-off at Stamford Bridge at 8.
Leinster have welcomed a host of internationals back into their pack for this evening's Pro 12 trip to Edinburgh.
Likewise, Ulster have the likes of Paddy Jackson and Charles Piutau in their starting fifteen for the visit of the Scarlets to Kingspan Stadium.
Padraig Harrington and Michael Hoey are among the many who still have first rounds to complete on day two of the Italian Open.
Harrington resumes on 2-under, having been called in due to bad light after just 3-holes on a stop-start day in Milan
Hoey managed 2-holes more and is level.
Paul Dunne managed a full round yesterday and starts today level, while Paul McGinley tees off his second round from 5-over.
Leading the way is Sweden's Rikard Karlberg on 7-under par.
