Cork City have booked their place in the second round of the Europa League.

The Leesiders were held to a one-all draw against Linfield last night, but earned their qualification on a 2-1 aggregate scoreline after their first leg win in Belfast.

John Caulfield's side will now go on to face Sweedish side BK Hacken in the next round.

Meanwhile, Shamrock Rovers have crashed out of the tournament following a one-all draw against Rovaniemi (pr: Rova-nee-amy) of Finland which meant they were defeated 3-1 on aggregate.

Tournament hosts France will play Portugal in Sunday's Euro2016 final.

Les Bleus defeated world champions Germany in Marseille last night to book their place in Sunday's decider in Paris.
