In Hurling Westmeath shocked the GAA world last night with a 1-11 to 12 points win over Kilkenny in the Bord Gais Energy Leinster under 21 quarter final.
Warren Casserly scored a goal for the Lake County while Kilkenny missed a penalty in injury time meaning Westmeath go onto meet Dublin or Wexford in the semi final
In the nights other games Carlow set up a semi final against Offaly with a 1-17 to 1-15 win over Laois at Netwatch Cullen park..
Offaly overcame Kildare 5-22 to 1-12 in Newbridge.
In Boxing Katie Taylor and Kellie Harrington are looking to turn bronze medals into silver today at the World championships in Astana.
They fight French and Canadian opponents respectively.
Taylor fights this afternoon while Harrington's bout is on during the morning session.
In Golf the BMW PGA Championship is underway at Wentworth this morning with a total prize fund of five million euro up for grabs.
Newly-crowned Irish Open champion Rory McIlroy isn't in the field, but there's a strong Irish presence this week.
Shane Lowry will be the first to tee-off, while the likes of Darren Clarke, Graeme McDowell and Paul McGinley are also involved.
