Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana and an own goal secured a 3-nil win, overturning a 1-nil deficit from the first leg in Spain.

Jurgen Klopps side will now face another Spanish club in the final after Sevilla got the better of Shakhtar Donetsk in the other semi-final.

The home side were 3-1 winners on the night, which sealed a 5-3 aggregate victory.

In domestic Football, while Cork City and Cobh Ramblers are in action tomorrow night there's action elsewhere tonight in the SSE Airtricity League. Leaders Dundalk host Galway and Finn Harps welcome Bohemians at 8 while at 7.45 St Pats welcome second placed Derry. In the first division Athlone host Drogheda and Waterford meet UCD.

Defending Champion Rory McIroy has ground to make up at the Wells Fargo Championship. The World Number 3 carded a 1 over par 73 to lie 8 shots off the lead heading into the second round. Padraig Harrington and Shane Lowry are a shot further back on 2 over. Kevin Phelan is just two shots off the lead on 2 under par ahead of the second round at the Trophée Hassan in Morocco. Gary Hurley and Peter Lawrie are both on 1-under par, with Paul Dunne another shot back.

In a result from the RedFM Senior Hurling League, Erins Own beat Blackrock 2-14 to 3-9 last night.
