Tickets Now on Sale for Cork’s RedFM Student Raceday

Tickets for Cork’s RedFM student raceday at Cork Racecourse on Thursday 23rd March are on sale now!

Tickets are available to buy from Cork Institute of Technology’s Student Union and UCC’s Horse Racing Society for €15 which includes return transport from both colleges to the racecourse. Alternatively, students with their own transport can avail of a special €10 ticket, available to buy online at www.corkracecourse.ie.

Both ticket options will include a free racecard and all students can enjoy music from Cork’s RedFM DJ Colm O’Sullivan after racing.

Cork’s largest student event of the year, Cork’s RedFM student raceday gives students the opportunity to trade their books for a racecard, meet top jockeys and trainers and sample the buzz of a day at the races. There are seven National Hunt races on the card, featuring the €20,000 UCC Horse Racing Society Hurdle.

Fab Fillies, the online accessories store, will sponsor the ‘Best Dressed Student’ and will be looking for students with a unique sense of style.

General Manager, Andrew Hogan said, “We are delighted to be hosting our fifth student raceday in conjunction with Cork’s RedFM and Horse Racing Ireland. We have seen this student raceday grow year on year and it as a great way to introduce students to racing, one of Ireland’s most successful sports.” 

Gates open at 1pm, with the first race off at 3pm.
