Almost 75% of businesses suffer financial hit

Almost three quarters of businesses have suffered a hit to their income according to a CSO survey.

The Central Statistics Office study also found a quarter of firms that responded had stopped trading.

Over two thirds of businesses have implemented some form of home working.

The online Business Impact of COVID-19 Survey also showed the pandemic had impacted sectors of the economy differently.
