An Infectious Disease Specialist believes lockdown restrictions may be eased on a regional basis

Professor Sam McConkey says there's a possibility of getting Covid-19 case numbers down to single digits in 6 weeks
The cabinet sub-committee on COVID-19 will meet this evening to consider re-opening sections of society next month.
Head of International Health and Tropical Medicine at the RCSI Professor McConkey says some parts of the country are improving at a much faster rate:
"This is like Cork and Kerry - the numbers have dropped very well in the last few months - so it may be that they'll be opening up in Cork and Kerry for example, or even Sligo/Leitrim on a regional basis, So I don't see it'll be a one size fits all necessarily of opening up, it may be on a regional basis and that makes a lot of sense"
