Anyone Who Loses Their Job Today Will Be Eligible For The Pandemic Unemployment Payment

Thousands of workers are set to be laid off as hairdressers, salons, cinemas, pubs and restaurants close under Level 5 restrictions.

Heather Humphreys says those being let go today can automatically sign up again for the payment: 

"Access to PUP will remain until the end of March to make sure that anybody who is unfortunate enough to lose their job, won't have to worry that they won't be able to get back onto the Pandemic Unemployment Payment. So just to be very clear the Pandemic Unemployment Payment remains open."
