Bookings For Holidays From Britain To Portugal Have Gone "Through The Roof" After Added To British Government's Green Travel List

Thomas Cook claims it took more bookings for trips to the European destination in a single hour than it did in the whole of April

People in England can go there without having to quarantine when they come back.

Chief Executive of Discovery Hotel Management in Portugal, Luis Alves, welcomes the move:

"Not having the UK last year, or having [them] only in late August and early September for us in Portugal was a huge loss. Last year around less 60 to 70% of our turnover."
