Bus Éireann Advises People To Undertake Only Necessary Journeys

The company is also urging people to avoid, where possible, peak travel times on Expressway routes.  

 

The company says that it is adhering fully to public health guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid19 and this means that capacity on buses and coaches is strictly limited to half capacity and 64% of licenced coach and bus services are currently not operational..

Since the end of June more than 10% of services on the X8 Cork/Dublin route, the No 40 from Killarney to Wexford through Cork and the No 51 Galway/Cork route have reported as full 

Bus Eireann is encouraging people who plan on joining a service mid-route, to check the Expressway and Bus Éireann live Twitter feeds which will advise if the coach is full on departure, to travel outside of peak demand and to avoid unnecessary journeys
