Chairman Of Fine Gael Parliamentary Party Says He Has Misgivings About Blanket Extension Of Emergency COVID Powers

Richard Bruton was one of a number of government TDs expressing concerns about the move to extend the laws until November

Opposition parties have said they're not needed for nearly that long and a shorter extension is what is required.

Fine Gael's Richard Bruton is one of those with concerns:

"How do we gradually unwind these? And what gives me a little bit of misgiving about what's happening here is, every one of these powers being reinstated even though the conditions perhaps may have changed."
