CMO says the country is now experiencing a near elimination of Covid-19 in the vaccinated population

However Dr Tony Holohan says people shouldn't holiday abroad until they're fully vaccinated
Dr Tony Holohan says the incidence of the disease is dropping in people aged 50 to 65, who are in the process of receiving protection from full vaccination.
However he says people shouldn't holiday abroad until they're fully vaccinated.
Dr Tony Holohan says he'd like to see travel resume but only for vaccinated people:
"We'd like to see travel resuming because we're getting enough people vaccinated, that we really focus the travel on people who are vaccinated, don't travel unless you're vaccinated I think will continue to be our message, we're getting more and more people vaccinated. And if we can do that and keep disease incidence low across Europe, we can see the safe resumption of airline travel without the need for any form of testing"
